Molecular Modelling for Beginners Review

I found this book to be really informative. I was looking for something to help decipher the scientific literature around molecular dynamics and protein folding and this book fit the bill perfectly.

The only other comment I have is that the 'for beginners' part of the title may be a little misleading. Someone approaching this book should have a backround in organic chemistry, physics, and some solid math (linear algebra and multivariate calculus) to really enjoy it.

Used this as a textbook for a Safety and Health Management "Fleet Safety" class. For a student not familiar with the trucking industry or DOT regulations it is great. For a student that has a few years if industry experience, it is too topical. Needs to cover accident/incident investigation and cause and effect more deeply for advanced students. Chapters are short, easy to read, and comes with a few homework questions at the end of each chapter. Great for Lower division undergrad. text, good for Upper division undergrad. text, too light for Graduate work. Still, better than most texts out there.

Although the book arrived looking like it might have gotten slightly damp, it is a lovely high quality atlas. Nice intro to diffusion and large color images in all three planes with annotations.

The online version is a good supplement, as you can access it when you don't have the print version, and you can do a search through the whole text of the thing and find every page with, for example, a reference to a particular tract.

Good choice.
