Eosinophilic Esophagitis (Clinical Gastroenterology) Review

I am a mother to a child who was recently diagnosed with EoE at the age of 8. I initially couldn't wrap my head around this disease because there was not much access to information for the lay person (compared to when my daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease). I know it is a relatively "new" disease, and in talking to different specialty physicians Eosinophilic Diseases are currently the "hot topic" in regards to research.

Although the book was expensive (as text books are), the information in this book is incredible. I am so very glad that I made the purchase. I am focusing on the pediatric chapters right now, but have recently learned that my brother has been diagnosed with EoE as well and the adult chapters will help him. This book is helping to answer my questions as far as treatments, and aids in my understanding of the treatment plans my son's physicians are implementing. If there is one thing that I take away from reading this book, it is that much much more research is necessary in regards to this disease and to the treatment options. I am happy to hear that many young physicians are focusing their studies on Eosinophilic Diseases.
