It contains a lot of facts and is not an easy book to read. It is not light reading. It appears to be a college textbook, instead of casual reading. The author
seems to know her subject very well. After reading this book, I know that I would not have wanted to live in that time. The author paints pictures with words so that we may see about what she is writing.
If someone wants information about that period and is not able to find enough here in the states, I think this book will find in the blanks.
